17 young scientists from the University of Warsaw have received scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. 16 postdoctoral researchers and one doctoral student were awarded.

Scholarships for outstanding young scientists are awarded to individuals with significant scientific achievements, such as publications in prestigious journals or innovative research.

 

This year, the Minister of Science and Higher Education distinguished 228 young scientists, including 34 doctoral students. The winners represent 53 scientific and artistic disciplines. Among the recipients there are 17 scientists from the University of Warsaw.

 

The scholarships will be paid for three years and their monthly amount is PLN 5,390.

 

The scholarship award ceremony took place on 8th October in the Golden Hall of the Kazimierzowski Palace on the University of Warsaw campus on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street. Among the guests were Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Research, Prof. Adam Niewiadomski, Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Doctoral and Legal Affairs, Prof. Maciej Raś, Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw for Student Affairs and Quality of Teaching and Learning, scholarship winners and invited guests.
