On 11th June, the UW’s Digital Economy Laboratory (DELab) was officially inaugurated as the Centre of Excellence at the University of Warsaw. The event took place on the eve of the laboratory’s tenth anniversary.

The DELab UW – Digital Economy Lab – was established at the University of Warsaw ten years ago on the initiative of Prof. Anna Giza-Poleszczuk. Its team conducts research on the social, economic and cultural significance of digitisation. It collaborates with academic entities and external institutions. DELab’s interdisciplinary environment is made up of both experienced and young scientists and academics from the University of Warsaw – from the faculties of Economics, Sociology, Law and Administration and Management.

On 11th June, the Digital Economy Lab at DELab UW was inaugurated as the Centre of Excellence.

“The interdisciplinary and digitalised activities that the DELab team has been undertaking for a long time now, and which it wants to continue by extending the formula of the IDUB Programme, are extremely valuable and must find a prominent place at the University of Warsaw. Our role is to support this type of activity, as its contribution to the construction of a new reality at the UW is invaluable,” Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, the UW Vice-Rector for Research, said at the ceremony.
