In December, a series of events for international employees and doctoral candidates will take place at the University of Warsaw. Workshops and training sessions are organised by the University of Warsaw Welcome Point. Participants will learn more about Polish academic culture and legalisation procedures. Participation is free of charge.
In total, three events will take place, designed for international staff and doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw.
Working Together Across Cultures
Workshop is dedicated to those who want to learn the basic principles of academic culture at the University of Warsaw, as well as communication styles across cultures and their impact on daily collaboration in an academic setting. Participants will have the opportunity to share real experiences and learn best practices for effective communication at UW.
The workshop will be led by Dr Aleksandra Winiarska, Assistant Professor at the UW Institute of Applied Social Sciences, specialising in migration, integration, and intercultural communication.
Event will take place on 5th December, from 9.00 AM till 12.15 PM. Registration is possible until 3rd December.

Introduction to USOS
An online training session led by Dr Mateusz Kopyt, USOS coordinator at the UW Faculty of Economic Sciences. This session is intended for new teaching staff who want to navigate the USOS system efficiently, the main tool for managing student education at UW. The session will cover key system functions, practical tips, and include a Q&A segment.
Event will take place on 9th December, from 4.30 PM till 6.00 PM. Registration is possible until 5th December.

Legalisation of Stay
An online information session led by Dr Łukasz Wieczorek, an expert with over 14 years of experience in foreigner stay legalisation. The session will cover key aspects of residence procedures in Poland, including temporary residence permits for work purposes, residence for researchers, EU Blue Card, Permanent residence permits and Procedures for family members.
Participants will learn about the required documents and application systems (InPOL and MOS), receive a practical guide to the legalisation process, and get a set of tips to navigate the process smoothly and avoid common challenges.
Event will take place on 12th December, from 2.00 PM till 4.00 PM. Registration is possible until 9th December.
