Welcome Point – Expanding Horizons (WP-EHo) is a project that received funding in the NAWA “Welcome to Poland 2024” initiative. The project will include training for employees in serving international students and activities supporting international students.

Welcome Point UW received funding in the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) initiative for the implementation of a project focused on “internationalization at home” and broadly defined development of the University of Warsaw’s capacity to welcome and serve international students.

Its main tasks will include organizing training for employees, which will contribute to improving staff competencies in handling formalities, legalizing stay, employing foreigners, as well as developing soft skills in communicating in a multicultural work environment. Some project activities will be aimed directly at international students, employees, and candidates, including information meetings, adaptation workshops, and the construction of a welcome pavilion.

Welcome Point will also conduct a UX audit of the website www.welcome.uw.edu.pl and design a chatbot to support user experience. The project will begin in October 2025 and will run until the end of September 2027.
