On 14th February at the University of Warsaw German pianist – Markus Groh will play compositions of great pianists. It will be the second Chopin concert organized due to 200 years of the UW.
Markus Groh is the laureate of the 1st prize in Artur Schnabel Piano Competition in Berlin 1990. He won the 1st prize in the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition Brussels in Belgium 1995. German pianist performances with, among others, the London Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony Washington D.C., the San Francisco Symphony, the New Japan Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the concert programme:
- Chopin’s compositions: Barcarolle Fis-Dur Op. 60, Andante spianato et grandde polonaise brillante inE-flat major, 22,
- Liszt’s compositions: Années de pèlerinage. Prèmiere année: Suisse.
The concert will take place on 14th February at 17.00 in the Auditorium Maximum at the University of Warsaw (Krakowskie Przedmieście Street 26/28).
The University of Warsaw will organize three more Chopin concerts. On the occasion of 200th anniversary of the UW establishing will play:

- 18th September – Daniil Trifonov
- 6th November – Benjamin Grosvenor
