In the latest QS World University Rankings, the University of Warsaw has been named as one of the world’s top universities, placing #258 in the world and #1 in Poland. The UW jumps four places, compared to the previous ranking edition.

QS Quacquarelli Symonds is the world’s leading provider of services, analytics, and insight to the global higher education sector as well as the world’s most popular source of comparative data about university performance. The QS World University Rankings 2025 feature 1503 institutions, including 22 in Poland.

 

The assessment criteria used for the rankings cover: Academic Reputation, Citations per faculty, Employer Reputation, Employment Outcomes, Faculty Student Ratio, International Faculty, International Research Network, International Students, and Sustainability.

 

The 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings see the University of Warsaw place #258 in the world (#262 in 2024) and #1 in Poland. For the thirteenth consecutive year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) maintains its top position.
