University of Warsaw is among the top 3% of universities worldwide. In the latest QS World University Rankings, it achieved the highest position among Polish higher education institutions.

According to the latest QS World University Rankings 2026, the University of Warsaw maintains its leading position in Poland, taking 271st place among the 1,500 best universities in the world.

 

QS World University Rankings 2026 includes approximately 3% of universities worldwide out of an estimated 50,000 educational institutions.

 

This year’s edition of the ranking included a total of 20 universities from Poland, including the Jagiellonian University (303rd place) and the Warsaw University of Technology (487th place). University of Warsaw is the only Polish university to be ranked among the top 300 universities in the world.

 

The University of Warsaw received the highest scores among Polish universities in both the academic community and employers’ assessments – indicators that play a key role in the QS ranking methodology. Opinions obtained in global surveys confirm the strong international position and recognition of the university.
