In response to the tragic events at the University of Warsaw, the university reminds all members of its community that support is available for those in need. The university operates, among other services, an emergency phone line, a helpline, and the University Psychological Support Centre.

All members of the community can rely on the university’s support. At the same time, we ask for respect for the memory of the victim of the tragic incident on 7th May 7, 2025, and to refrain from disseminating audiovisual materials depicting the crime scene.

The team of the Department of Psychiatry, Combat Stress and Psychotraumatology of the Military Medical Institute – WIM – PIB has launched specialised psychological support for students and employees of the University of Warsaw who are in psychological crisis in connection with the tragic events on the Campus.

Help is available all days of the week from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m., including Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May during the same hours.

In special situations, any employee or student of the University of Warsaw may report directly to the Clinic 24 hours a day, where, after consultation by the doctor on duty, a decision will be made whether hospital treatment is necessary.
