The National Science Centre released results of the OPUS 26+LAP/Weave call for proposals. UW researchers have four projects qualified in the NCN call.

Under the OPUS+LAP/Weave, Polish researchers can apply for funding of projects that are carried out in international bilateral or trilateral cooperation with researchers from Austria, Belgum-Flanders, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. In the latest call for proposals, twenty-nine grants were awarded, out of which four received the University of Warsaw.

The list of the UW projects with the National Science Centre (PL: Narodowe Centrum Nauki; NCN) funding:

  1. Tailoring SIngle-Photon spectra for Hybrid quantum networks, led by Dr Michał Karpiński, the Faculty of Physics, in cooperation with researchers from Austria. Received funding: PLN1,908,958.
  2. Deciphering the genetic diversity of Dirofilaria repens and D. immitis: the global and European prospective, led by Prof. Anna Bajer, the Faculty of Biology, in cooperation with researchers from Austria. Received funding: PLN1,557,900.
  3. Practice-based research: investigating research practices, outputs and impacts in Belgium-Flanders, Poland, and Switzerland, led by Dr Kamila Lewandowska, the Institute of the Americas and Europe. Received funding: PLN795,286.
  4. AI: Authorship and Interpretation, led by Dr Krzysztof Skonieczny, the Faculty of „Artes Liberales”, in cooperation with researchers from the Czech Republic. Received funding: PLN402,414.
