We are publishing a statement on the false media reports about the cancellation of a meeting with Yakov Shechter.

On 7th March, on the Facebook and X profiles of the Embassy of Israel in Poland, a post appeared about the cancellation of a meeting with Israeli writer Yakov Shechter at the University of Warsaw.

Please be informed that we have not received any confirmation that such a meeting has been planned or had been planned. The University of Warsaw was not and is not the organiser of the event. The person stated by the Embassy to be responsible for organising the meeting is not an employee of the University of Warsaw.

The University of Warsaw was and is open to all meetings with representatives of socio-political life, culture and art.
