Currently, prospective PhD students can sign up for Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences and Interdisciplinary Doctoral School. Soon, starting from 1st June, it will be possible to enrol for Doctoral School of Humanities and Doctoral School of Social Sciences.
The aim of the admissions is to choose the best candidates for doctoral students, taking into account their scientific achievements and their research topic.

Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences
Admission: 23rd May – 21st June
Scientific disciplines or fields and the numer of places: mathematical sciences and computer science (collectively) –22, biological sciences – 17, chemical sciences – 18, physical sciences –27, Earth and environmental sciences – 11.
In the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences, the enrolment will be conducted by the Warsaw Doctoral School of Mathematics and Computer Science, jointly run by the University of Warsaw and the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the field of mathematics and computer science.
Interdisciplinary Doctoral School
Admission: 23rd May –14th July
Scientific disciplines or fields and the number of places: 20 places in total in the fields of humanities, social sciences, exact sciences and natural sciences.
Additionally, 15 places in the Quantitative Psychology and Economics (QPE) education programme which is run by three UW units: the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Psychology, and the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics. The programme is implemented under the University’s Integrated Development Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund under OP KED, path 3.5.
