Caring for balance

The University of Warsaw has launched an information and education campaign promoting mental health. The initiative, entitled “Your mind – your strength,” is addressed atthe entire academic community. It draws attention to the importance of caring for mental health, building awareness of prevention, and reinforcing the belief that each of us can influence on our well-being, emotions, and inner balance.

– The times we live in require us to take special care of our mental health. The effects of the pandemic, the ongoing war across the eastern border, the excess of stimuli reaching us every day, the limitation of direct relationships to social media presence—all of this affects our well-being. The campaign aims to draw attention to the importance of caring for ourselves and othersin this respect. Each of us can have a real impact on this aspect of health – by developing good habits and taking care of our inner world and emotions, says Prof. Maciej Raś, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education at the University of Warsaw.
