Do you want to get education from experienced academics, and study at the largest and best university in Poland? Choose our university. We offer a wide range of studies in humanities, social, exact and natural sciences, as well as individual interdisciplinary studies, English-language programmes, and programmes of study run jointly with universities from abroad. Now, you have a chance to apply to UW.

There are plenty of reasons why to study at the University of Warsaw. We selected only a few of them:

  • A wide offer of study programmes: Over 100 programmes of 1st, 2nd and long cycle (uniform) Master’s studies in humanities, social sciences, exact and natural sciences, including 27 programmes taught in English and 22 programmes conducted jointly with international universities;
  • UW is Poland’s leading university and research centre. This is borne out by the results of national and international rankings and research grant competitions. In 2019, UW was listed in the international rankings of universities, which rank a small percentage of the world’s best universities (Academic Ranking of World Universities, QS World University Rankings). The university performed very well in Shanghai’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS 2019), which included ten scientific disciplines taught at the university;

  • Besides being educated by the best academic teachers in the country, our students have an opportunity to engage in ambitious research projects, develop their talents by participating in international contests and receive grants and scholarships. There are lots of sports activities and cultural initiatives;
  • The University of Warsaw was the first Polish university to begin monitoring the careers of its graduates. The results of this monitoring indicate that over 90% of respondents find employment within a year of obtaining a degree.
