Several thousand prospective students visited the University of Warsaw during its Open Day. They could get to know the UW offer of 1st and 2nd cycle study programmes, meet students and staff, take part in university campus tours and find out what life as a student of UW is like.

Open Days are an excellent opportunity to get information about study programmes and the university. UW provides a wide range of studies in humanities, and social, exact and natural sciences, as well as individual interdisciplinary studies, English-language programmes and programmes of study run jointly with universities from abroad.

Studies and more

During the Open Day, the UW faculties, institutes and other units of the university presented their educational offer to prospective students. Candidates had an opportunity to talk to students and academic teachers and find out about studies and application procedures.

Employees of the university offices such as Admissions Office, International Relations Office, Office for Student Affairs, Office for Doctoral and Postgraduate Studies were eager to answer all questions asked by prospective students.

Participants of the Open Day at the UW also had a chance to find out about student life, cultural and sport events and activities. In front of the Old Library building, there were stands of, e.g. Student Union, Career Office, UW Incubator, Open University and Volunteer Centre.

New initiatives

In this year, there were also new initiatives. Candidates could meet the representatives of UW who presented the 4EU+ Alliance and its offer. The Alliance comprises six research-intensive European universities: the University of Warsaw, Charles University, Heidelberg University, Sorbonne University, University of Copenhagen and University of Milan. 4EU+ wants to create a new quality of cooperation in teaching, education, research and administration and to establish an infrastructure that will seamlessly connect students, academic and administrative staff.
