UW Open Day 2026

This year’s UW Open Day will take place on 18th April. The Main Campus will host presentations by faculties, units, as well as sports and cultural organisations operating at the university. It is also a good opportunity to talk to students and doctoral candidates. The event will start at 10:00 a.m.

The University of Warsaw is opening its doors to anyone interested in the activities of the largest university in Poland, especially to prospective students and those interested in pursuing doctoral education.

 

On 18th April, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., participants will be able to see what the campus on Krakowskie Przedmieście and selected lecture halls look like, learn about the educational, sports, and cultural offerings of the UW, and find out what kind of support and opportunities the University offers to members of its academic community. It is also a good opportunity to talk to lecturers and representatives of UW students and doctoral candidates. Additional information will also be provided by individual university offices, including the Admissions Office and the Careers Office.

Open Thursdays

In the 2025/2026 academic year, Open Thursdays will once again be held at the UW. During these meetings, secondary school students can learn about the history of the university and its study programmes. The next event will take place on 26th March at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Resocialisation. Registration is required.

 

DOKO 2026

On 21st March, the 12th edition of Ochota Campus Discovery Day (PL: DOKO) will take place. This event combines a popular science initiative with an open day for those interested in studying at the faculties of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, Medicine, and Psychology. The event is also co-organised by the Centre for New Technologies, the Heavy Ion Laboratory (Cyclotron), the Biological and Chemical Research Centre, the College of Interdepartmental Individual Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and the University Centre for Research on the Natural Environment and Sustainable Development.

 

This year’s DOKO is held under the slogan “Nauka od kuchni”. A detailed programme and news can be found on the event website doko.mimuw.edu.pl.
