The 15th Erasmus Staff Week

28 participants from 19 countries were hosted by the University of Warsaw as part of the 15th edition of Erasmus Staff Week. During the three-day event, academic and administrative employees from 23 universities around the world attended training sessions, took part in workshops, and explored the University of Warsaw and the city of Warsaw.

“The UW is the largest university in Poland and one of the best in Europe. We are delighted to once again welcome an international group of participants to Erasmus Staff Week. We believe that once someone steps through the University’s doors, they become part of our community for life,” said Prof. Sambor Grucza, the UW Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Human Resources, as he opened the event on 16th June.

 

The 15th edition of Erasmus Staff Week was attended by 28 participants from 19 countries: Albania, Austria, Bhutan, France, Georgia, Spain, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Palestine, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, the USA, the UK, and Italy.

 

The topics covered in the training sessions and workshops included utilising strengths in university work, support, wellbeing, and development of academic employees, as well as intercultural communication and inclusivity.

 

The event provided an opportunity to learn about the unique characteristics of the University of Warsaw, as well as to exchange experiences and knowledge amongst the participants. Guests also had the chance to experience Polish culture and visit interesting places in the capital, including the UW’s Botanical Garden and the historic part of Warsaw.
