Medals for the University of Warsaw guards

Tomasz Radzki and Dariusz Paszkowski, guards of the University of Warsaw, who heroically stood in defense of Mrs. Małgorzata on 7th May, received the University of Warsaw medals and Medals for Sacrifice and Courage awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. – The entire university community bows before you. You were with the University, and the University is with you. Thank you – said the Rector during the ceremony, which took place on 25th June during the session of the University of Warsaw Senate.

– On behalf of the entire University of Warsaw community, I would like to express my gratitude and respect to you and your loved ones for what you did, for showing humanity, for wanting to save Małgosia’s life. I believe that it will not be wasted; that the University, and after us other universities, will do everything to prevent such situations as effectively as possible. You have done something that exceeds the capabilities of the average person. Whoever saves one life saves the entire world – said Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of University of Warsaw.

 

On 25th June, during the session of the University of Warsaw Senate, two heroic university guards – Tomasz Radzki and Dariusz Paszkowski – received the University of Warsaw Medals.

 

Medals from the President

The guards were also honored with Medals for Sacrifice and Courage awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. Awards were presented on behalf of the President by the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President Andrzej Dera.

 

– On behalf of the President, I have the honor of presenting the Medals to true heroes – guards who were able to sacrifice their own health to save other lives. I sincerely congratulate and thank you very much on behalf of the Republic of Poland – said Minister Dera.
