On 26th November, the next Annual Meeting will begin with the participation of representatives from the eight member universities of 4EU+. This year’s meeting is organised by the University of Geneva. On 27th November, an online broadcast of the session will be available, during which Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, will present the initiatives undertaken by the Alliance during the University of Warsaw’s presidency.

The 4EU+ Alliance consists of eight research universities jointly building a single European University. These include: Charles University (Czech Republic), Heidelberg University (Germany), Paris-Panthéon-Assas University (France), Sorbonne University (Sorbonne Université, France), the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), the University of Milan (Italy) and the University of Geneva (Switzerland).

For the University of Warsaw, the Alliance is one of its most important strategic initiatives. Thanks to 4EU+, a shared educational, research, digital and mobility infrastructure is being developed. More than 320,000 students, 28,000 doctoral candidates and over 50,000 staff members have the opportunity every day to exchange experiences, carry out joint research and implement innovative educational projects.

Each year, the Alliance organises a large-scale summary event – the Annual Meeting – hosted by a different university. This year’s edition is organised by the University of Geneva under the motto 4EU+ for Global Impact – Shaping Collective Solutions.

From 26th to 28th November, numerous workshops, meetings and sessions will take place in the Swiss capital, including: a meeting of the 4EU+ Management Board and the Academic Council, sessions involving the programme committees of the four Flagships, the Alliance’s Secretary General and the working groups, as well as a meeting of the Student Committee. The programme also includes a meeting of the 4EU+ General Assembly, which will be broadcast online. One of the speakers will be Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, who will present the initiatives undertaken by the Alliance during the University of Warsaw’s presidency.
