The University of Warsaw Museum has prepared the exhibition titled „Eagle and five stars of the University”. It will be available from 26th January on.

 

The exhibition presents the history of the University of Warsaw in 1820s and 1830s. In that time academic teachers were collecting and classifying materials for their research.

 

Collection includes not only paintings, drawings and moulages, but also medical equipment, numismatic objects, exhibits of animals and plants as well as rare objects for instance a model of the Arch of Constantine.

 

Visitors can see the exhibition from Monday to Friday: 10.00 to 16.00 in the Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace (Krakowskie Przedmieście 32).

 

It is organize on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of university’s establishment.
