LERU at UW

On 8th April the League of European Research Universities (LERU) and a group of Central-European universities (CE7) met at the University of Warsaw.

 

The League of European Research Universities (LERU) is a consortium of 23 most renowned research universities in Europe. It was founded in 2002. Member universities are based in 12 European countries. LERU successfully advocates the interests of research-intensive universities in Europe and beyond. Its activities and contributions to the research policy debate have established LERU’s reputation as a major stakeholder in the European Union. It cooperates with a group of Central-European universities (CE7). The University of Warsaw belongs to CE7.

 

On 8th April rectors of LERU and CE7 had a meeting at the University of Warsaw. They discussed the EU Framework Programme 9 for Research & Innovation, challenges for the European Research Area (ERA) 2017-2027, impact of Brexit on ERA and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and the post-truth society.
