“From Crisis to Stability: How to E­ffectively Solve Crises and Conflicts to Foster Development? ” – it is the title of Carl Bildt’s lecture., which will be held on 4th December.

 

Carl Bildt was the Prime Minister (1991-1994) and the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2006-2014) of Sweden. He was working for the EU and UN, especially on issues related to the Balkan conflict. Carl Bildt participated in the Dayton peace talks on Bosnia and Herzegovina and became the first High Representative for that country. As a Minister for Foreign Affairs, he belonged to the group of the most prominent politicians in EU. He was one of the initiators of the Eastern Partnership.

 

The lecture is a part ofKapuściński Development Lectures”– the initiative of the European Commission, the United Nations Development Programme and partner organizations.

 

The Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the University of Warsaw and the Ronald Reagan Foundation in Poland co-organize this event.

The meeting will be conducted in English.

 

The lecture will take place on 4th December at 15.00 in the Institute of Journalism (Bednarska Street 2/4).
