13th Warsaw East European Conference

From 18th to 21st July the Centre for the East European Studies of the UW organizes the 13th annual session of the Warsaw East European Conference – “Belaveza 25 years after states, nations and borders”.

 

The conference consists of 27 discussion panels and 3 roundtables:

  • The collapse of the USSR. Sources – causes – periodization,
  • What about the economy?,
  • Towards the new Polish Eastern policy.

 

200 participants including around 80 speakers will take part in the conference. Among them are well-known experts: Mikheil Saakashvili, Prof. Andrzej Sulima Kamiński, Prof. Zbigniew Antoni Kruszewski, Prof. Alvydas Nikžentaitis, Prof. Henryk Samsonowicz, Leonid Krawczuk and Gennadij Burbulis.

 

On 18th July special lecture will be given by the former president of Georgia, governor of Odessa Oblast – Mikheil Saakashvili. He will be speaking about postsoviet area 25 years later.
